Sorry, Yo Yo Ma's first selection should read Anna Clyne = that's a typo on my part
OK, the 'top musicians' are listed alphabetically, which means that they are fairly random anyway I then randomly decided to start at the beginning of the 'L's and give you the next 10, without missing any out - which actually gives you all 9 of the 'L's and the first of the M's

While I have deliberately tried NOT to interfere, to keep the randomness, I do think those 10 are reasonably reflective of the 'feel' of the whole list.
Hope this helps
Alan, could you find time to pick out - with a pin if necessary to secure random results - about a dozen of the BBC's top international musicians and post them for us? That way we might be able to judge if some of the "top musicians" are as obscure as some of "Greatest British composers" who were chosen.
Tes, they did indeed, as I said in my earlier post. They are all listed on P38-P41 of the August 2023 issue of the Magazine - which I have open as I type this.
I'm afraid I am old Fashioned enough to subscribe to, and read, the Magazine itself, so I have no knowledge of what they do, and don't, put on their website.
Did they really name and shame those "167 top international musicians"? I can't see it on the webpage.
BTW, I agree about Handel: excellent fellow, but obviously should be categorised as German.
