Ok. I am willing to be converted. Can you reccomend a couple of cds ?
The nearest I have come so far has been "quite liking" Nelsons. I suspect because reviews have generally been of the "not really the best Bruckner" kind.
I have tried Rattle (hated it), Karajan, Jochum and Thielemann (boring), Tenterden (dull).
As a guideline, I am passionate about Sibelius, Shostakovich and PMD.
Advise would be appreciated, I am ready fir conversion!!!; I know its me!!!

Mikeh, your antipathy to our beloved Bruckner is most painful to us devotees...but maybe one day you will experience a Pauline conversion and stay away from such distractions (although the composer himself was prone to making chaste but unreciprocated advances to young ladies). Previous Message
