The “premiere mondiale de la version intergrale pour piano” of Ravel’s Daphnis & Chloe was recorded in the Salle Adyar (Paris) in April /May 2001 by the great French pianist Claire-Marie Le Guay for the Accord label(461 946-2) sound engineer Philippe Pelissier who managed to include the choral parts thanks to “la technique du re-recording”.
Claire-Marie’s disc also includes the piano version of Petrouchka for which Rubinstein paid Stravinsky 5000 gold-francs.
