For example, today my mother told me that she was reading a book about how the Oxford English Dictionary got written. Apparently, one of the researchers who contributed a lot to it was an English Rom who, in his day, was quite the activist. I'd never even heard his name before, even in lists of Roma who have made great contributions to the intellectual world, but I think it's really important to get that stuff out there. For the kids, you know?
Hello.... Yeah, I read King of the Gypsies some years ago. I read pretty much everything about our people that I can get my hands, or, rather, eyes on. People put up all these stereotypes about us and it really just drives me crazy. The more you study, the more ammo you have to verbally fire at people who believe them.
