WB's Warner Archive released a 35 short subject collection a couple weeks ago, "Vitaphone Varieties Vol. Two 1927 - 1931," which I watched the past couple days. The last film in the collection is a two-reeler comedy starring Jack Haley ('The Tin Man'), SUCCESS (1931); the film's not listed on Imdb at all. Haley stars as a nearsighted blind-as-a-bat baseball player, and suitor of a young girl. I was pleasantly surprised to find John Hamilton ('Perry White') and Marion Lorne as the girl's disapproving parents.
