Could you phase in carrots and celery for crunch? If you can reduce your servings to no more than two fruits and no more than two starches per day and forego things with sugar (read labels for sugar as well as anything that ends in ose) until your next A1C check, I think it will be better. Fill up on non starchy vegetables and protein. See how that works
