I'm using an app (easy calorie, I think). Given my long term goal of 195, it assigned 1398 as the beginning calorie intake. I'm happy as long as I stay under 1500. Most days, I haven't broken 1400 but I need the wiggle room.
I'm tracking calories, protein (goal 70+), water(goal 48-64), fiber (goal 25).
The water is a tough one. I'd never make 70gm of protein if I didn't drink a supplement, at least 1/2 of one. The fiber got easier when I found Mission low carb tortillas. They have tons of fiber with very few calories and they have added protein. Apples, raspberries, beans with good fiber, too.
The only sweet thing is the flip top Greek yogurt, just a tiny bit of sweet things dumped.into.thr yogurt.
Made Skinnytaste Chicken Crockpot Enchiladas last night. I've made it before. I substitute smoked paprika for the cumin and add just a pinch of cayenne pepper. I added green and yellow peppers this time. This is an easy, delicious meal. In stead of the corn tortillas it calls for, I used the above-mentioned Mission Tortillas because of the added protein and fiber. They got yummier than the corn ones but it was worth it for now. This recipe and WW chili (I use.plant-based beef) are my 2 favorite recipes.
