Isn't it strange how our taste buds change? When I was growing up, I couldn't stand Brussels sprouts or oysters. I tried some oysters early in my marriage that were really good, so I do have them now, but I still couldn't stand sprouts until about 4 years ago. My son cooked some bacon and onions, then stir-fried the sprouts in them for about 2 minutes. Put everything on an oiled cookie sheet and add salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme, then cook in the oven about 10 -15 minutes. When finished, he drizzled them with aged balsamic vinaigrette. Now I have them often like that. Still the only way I like them.
