We had storms all night but they never got severe enough for the warnings to start going off.
I got some good sleep last night. I had not slept well in several nights and fell asleep in my chair for aobut an hour last night after dinner. I woke up and went to bed and was able to go back to sleep. I got up about 4 AM for awhile but got cold and went back to bed to snuggle and get warm and fell asleep again. I ended up getting over 9 hours of sleep. I feel so much better today for it.
Getting rid of more stuff. I'll have all the closets and drawers and cabinets thinned out someday. If we find a smaller place, I don't want to be making these decisions and trying to move but about 2/3 of this stuff won't fit into a house the size I want. I still have things everywhere that my daughter left here three years ago and I just got rid of a bunch of clothes out of the boy's closets in sizes that no one in this family can wear anymore. So far I have found homes for a lot of the newer things. I think I am just going to throw the rest away. I do have some brand new size 40D and 42D bras that I found. Some with tags, some without, but only one of them had ever been worn, and the elastic broke me out because I found out that I have developed an allergy to rubber. I threw that one away, but I hate to throw the rest away since they are new. I ordered them from Bali but noticed that the tags have another name on them. They are made in the style of the soft cup Playtex 18 hour. The ones without tags I took the tags off and washed them but never wore them. If anyone wears that size and wants to try them they are yours for the shipping.
The kids coming in and doing the dusting, sweeping and mopping all the tile floors and vacuuming all the carpets have taken such a burden off my shoulders. I can sweep the high traffic areas and spot mop but now my whole house don't mock me all the time because it hasn't all been done.
Sorry folks, not even checking this for spelling and grmmar. Hope you can make sense of it.
This is not a grateful but if anyone has any thoughts, please chime in. My mother found out today that someone has been using my debit card from her bank account on Amazon. I have not used her debit card since she left here in July of last year, and I only used it at the drug store to pick up her meds then. It never left my sight. I have never put the number on the internet anywhere. I am just on the account for end-of-life purposes or when I am taking care of her. My card is safely in the vault, I checked, so no other family member has been using it. She called the bank today and found out that they have racked up over $1200 since January, only at Amazon. Why she has not been checking her account information better I do not know. All charges are $25-$35. She disputed at the bank but they said that they called Amazon and that I will have to dispute the account with Amazon since it is my card. I called Amazon and they said that they can't find that card number and without an account number and password that I will have to dispute it at the bank and the bank will dispute it with them. The bank disagrees so we ended the banking day at a stalemate.
Tomorrow I am going to call the main branch because I have found that the branch she banks at don't always know what to do so they say that it can't be done (for instance I tried to move money from my personal account into Mama's once and was told that I could not do that because I do not have an account there and I am from out of town. Her account has both mine and her name on it and I was standing there with the card with my name on it in my hand so why couldn't I just move my money from one of my other bank accounts into my account there--"because I don't have an account there." Huh? Anyway, this is how that branch runs. I finally insisted they call the main branch and ask them, and they were told how to do i,t and it was fine after that.)
Hopefully, someone at the main branch can take the dispute for me and get some results. I can't dispute it at Amazon because I don't have an account number and password that is being used with the card and they can't find where those last 4 numbers have been used. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas before I call the bank tomorrow, let me know. She can't afford to lose $1200.
