More for local friends but too much trouble figuring that out.
Had a double laminectomy June 5th and was doing great. Felt better than I have in 3 years. Then, I crashed and learned that my wound was completely infected. Had to have immediate surgery to remove the infection. It has taken days for them to discern the types of infection.
I am in a lot of pain and my support system has basically been my 84 year old ex-husband. I'm going home on a wound vac and a picc line for 5 more weeks of antibiotics. Two friends and myself should be able learn how to manage the picc and there's not much to do with the wound vac.
Ex will do errands and care for pups and cats. Housekeeper comes every 2 weeks. Some form of home health is being set up.
My only relative is my niece in Georgia and she is trying to figure out a way to come for a few days..
I don't know what extra help I need but, if any of you who live by have some ideas and time, message me.
