We got pictures last night of our youngest grandson on top of an 11,000 ft mountain he had hiked up. They don't have cell phone connections, but the counselors have satellite phones in case of emergencies and sent parents pictures of the summit. It took 9 days to hike up, but it should only take 6 to hike down.

His hand has held up well so far on the trip. Microsurgery is awesome.

Our daughter and our great-grandbaby feel better today. They have both had a virus, too. Since it is spreading so virulently, it is good to know that the worst of it only lasts about 3 days if it doesn't cause an infection. I woke up with a headache and muscle aches and general malaise. Probably my turn.

I have lots of good books on Kindle and a Bible to read, and I have nothing pressing to do for three days.
