Saturday Gratitude Posted by Delta on 7/12/2025, 4:14 pm, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." We got pictures last night of our youngest grandson on top of an 11,000 ft mountain he had hiked up. They don't have cell phone connections, but the counselors have satellite phones in case of emergencies and sent parents pictures of the summit. It took 9 days to hike up, but it should only take 6 to hike down. His hand has held up well so far on the trip. Microsurgery is awesome. Our daughter and our great-grandbaby feel better today. They have both had a virus, too. Since it is spreading so virulently, it is good to know that the worst of it only lasts about 3 days if it doesn't cause an infection. I woke up with a headache and muscle aches and general malaise. Probably my turn. I have lots of good books on Kindle and a Bible to read, and I have nothing pressing to do for three days. All you ladies to meet together with every day.

My five… Posted by Cindy on 7/12/2025, 2:22 pm, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1. Cooler day today! Overcast and 79 when I went out to finish the yard work. So grateful! 2. Even though it was in the 90’s yesterday I was able to mow and get the majority of the yard work done. So grateful to be able to do it and have a riding lawnmower which helps a lot!! 3. 3 day weekends. I took yesterday off to take Ken to his yearly eye appointment. Everything looked great-no changes to his glasses needed. 4. No eating overnight since July 4th. So grateful. 5. I think that eating more fruits and veggies is helping with my cravings. Very grateful!!

It has been so hot and humid that we haven’t been walking outside-but he could be doing laps in the house and he just doesn’t most days. I’m hoping he will get tired of being tired and start working on it again. Thank you for asking!

I hate to admit it, but it is keeping me inside right now too, and I am not motivated to do a whole lot on a lot of days. Luckily, my house is big enough to walk laps in, but the lake house is so small that I don't get much movement at the lake house. It was too humid to even sit out on the deck and read.

Because the tablets my husband and I used were too old to run some of the apps, we decided to get new ones during Amazon Prime's deals. We are happy with our choice of matching Lenovo Tab One tablets which we are getting used to now. Of course, it helps that we have each other to help with set-up, etc. 2. First thing we did with our new Lenovo tablets was to get Kindle working! Neither of our old tablets supported the Kindle app, and was one of the main reasons we decided to take the plunge and get new tablets. 3. Once the Kindle app was working, we went to the public library to get the library app working! Mission accomplished! Woo-hoo! I seriously need a distraction from current events, especially after the opening of Alligator Alcatraz in Florida. 4. I'm so delighted reading about everyone's health/life style progress here at FSF. It's not easy to stay on track! 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I wasn't opposed to that but suddenly all my Google apps no longer worked and their apps were sparse and clunky. My husband got me a new tablet last year during Prime days and I am so happy to have my Kindle back. Are you familiar with the apps that show free or very cheap Amazon books? I find them good additions to free libraries because I have discovered several new favorite authors and series through some of those. I am reading a series right now that I found on one of those a few months ago.
