On-call nurses. You guys, I did something so dumb! This wound itches so badly and I just know better than to scratch it (on top of the dressing). But, last night, the dressing felt funny and I asked Bill to look at it. It was all bloody on the i side of the dressing. I wish I could call my nurse because she knows where we are in trying different options but I won't. That's why there are On-call nurses. I don't know what I'm going to do about the itching. I hate not being able to reach something that itches. So much, in fact, that I carry a retractable back scratcher in my purse. Everything I've read said this itching is part of the healing process. God help me!!
