Something I have found is that sipping green tea will act like a diuretic. I found some Crystal Light Peach Mango green tea that works pretty well, too. The first time I made it, I used the big pack and made a gallon. I liked the flavored water it made. When I used a single one in a bottle of water one day while out, I was surprised by how much flavor it had. So you can pretty much use it either way, but it makes me pee more than just plain water. I get the one that does NOT say with caffeine because I don't need the extra, but if caffeine doesn't bother you, it would probably work even better.
