So much for prayers. I haven’t been able to get here.
Ive been at the hospital hours every day. He’s not doing well
But can always be worse. He developed afib (did I say this?) and has a pacemaker already. They had to move him to the heart floor ICU and were kind enough to let me stay a lot It took until this AM to get him into normal sinus rhythm. Thank goodness he reverted though.
The blood cultures are coming back bad. She said it’s a bad strain of staph called staph epidermidis. The rocephin isn’t working on it. I don’t know what they’ll change it to but they said this form of staph is bad about attaching to foreign things in the body like lead wires to his pacemaker and also heart valves so they will be doing some heart tests and that’s why he probably went into afib.
So that’s what I know.
And I’m tired.
