we have our work cut out for us. This time my husband has agreed to let the crews do it instead of doing most ourselves. It almost breaks my heart that the dusty rose marble has to go because it is completely fine marble, but it is just not to my tastes. Can't you just see me crawling up on that ledge by the Jacuzzi in front of the windows, especially if there are people in that room? Nope, the whole room has to be redesigned and the windows have to go. It also had a leak when they built on the Florida room and backed up the gutters. All that has been corrected, and there is a new roof, but the damage is done behind some of that marble, so it and the sheetrock have to be stripped ot the studs. All the wallpaper has to go. Nothing has changed in this house since it was built. The kitchen needs a new redo. Since the cabinets are solid wood and in good shape, and solid wood cabinets are hard to find these days, we may elect to keep them and either paint them or get new doors. Dunno yet. It has a commercial refrigerator and stove, so they may stay, they are clean (shocking) and usable. The oven/microwave definitely has to go. Lot of changes but not daunting.
