I used to find real wool socks at Dollar Tree before fall began. I would buy them out to put in care bags for the homeless or the shelter in town that gave out bags to the homeless that wouldn't stay, just wanted dry socks, a few personal grooming things, and a meal. I no longer find men's wool socks there, so they cost me a lot more now.
The local women's shelter requests that if we have purses that we no longer want to fill them with sanitary products, wet wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, deodorant, hand lotion, brush or comb, and socks for them to give to the women who come in there.
