Things are going well with Carin and Thomas. I still have trouble saying his name because of how angry I have been over the way he treated Carin. But, he has not shown any of that kind of behavior and has apologized over and over. He is actually being the person Carin said he was beneath all the prison rage. He is helping her with all kinds 9f things around the house but, the thing I'm most grateful for is how he is interacting with the boys. All her kids are very overweight and have been opposed to any kind of physical activity. He has them outside, helping build a chicken coop, riding the lawn mower. He's teaching Dom to drive (he just got his permit). He's also good with tech stuff and all the boys are into that. Josh just got an early Christmas present, a pretty advanced 3-D printer. He's helping him with that. She has sent me a bunch of pictures and videos of these things. I think it's all real. The boys would tell me. There are drawbacks like the neighbors know he is a convicted child sex offender and won't let their kids interact with the boys. He is having a hard time finding work. He can't be in a y public gathering where kids gather. She feels loved and valued. It's so hard for me to trust him but the evidence is leaning in his favor. We're supposed to believe people can and do change. I mean that's what I've facilitated for 40+ years! I was never worried about him messing with the boys. It was all about his anger and verbally and emotionally abusive behavior toward Carin. So far, so good.

Got a lot of pw stuff done yesterday. Have just about the same amount to tackle today.

Have not gotten my eating back to a healthy level and have taken 0 walks since I've been home. I remember how great I felt being in the 230s, being able to walk 2.5 miles . Food screams over all of that! Will start anew AGAIN! It's all I can do.
