I have enough to make another quart, but when the adrenaline started wearing off, that knife got very hard to lift. I will probably try to chop up the rest later or give them to my neighbor. I wanted to clean out the big peppers and freeze them for stuffed peppers, but there was a problem. It is said that peppers with 4 lobes are female and sweeter, so they are better for stuffed peppers, and peppers with three lobes are male and better for cooking. These peppers must have identified as "other" because they just had two lobes and would not stand up. By the way, I do know that it is not true because a pepper fruit does not have a sex; it is the flower, and a pepper has both male (stamen) and female (pistil) parts in its flower, making it able to reproduce, so it is the variety that produces the lobes. I live in a place that only catches glimpses of winter. It was gorgeous and 76 yesterday, nippy today after a front started moving in that is supposed to bring us a night or two in the 20s with days only in the 40s (30s at my mother's), then it is supposed to be back in the 70s again. We rarely get more than a week at a time of cold weather or snow, and I like it that way. Four of my roses are just beautiful today. Two are loaded, but two only have a bloom or two, which are just perfect. I am on my way to cut a bouquet when I get off here so that I can enjoy them for a few more days. I saw a video yesterday where a woman was putting up wallpaper that had dusty teal and dusty rose in it, and she was using those colors to decorate with. It made me wonder if I used dusty teal or aqua in that dusty rose bathroom, if I could keep some of the marble and make it just look retro. I already have a bedspread and chair in dusty teal at the other lake house for the adjoining bedroom. I could just add some dusty rose pillows and throw and pull them together, maybe. I just know that before we started house hunting, I was convinced that I wanted to paint my walls grey and put in LVP instead of the carpets in the bedrooms here. After viewing almost 100 houses in a year, where every single one of them was cookie-cutter grey with LVP floors except two, I don't want that in my house anymore. The only houses that I can remember anything about were the two that were not grey/LVP, and two more that had horrible gulleys cut through their yards. I can not remember layouts or any details of any of the others, but I remember all the rooms of those four. The rest looked so much alike that they blurred together. I am too much of a rebel for that. Weigh in on what you think about incorporating teal and leaving some of the rose. I might also be leaning toward a softer, paler teal in the kitchen, or pastel blue. Maybe. I have chicken soup and hamburger soup (no barley or turnips in mine, though, cause I didn't have any) to get me through the next couple of days. I love chili days with soup or soup with chili days.

I'm so glad you are considering keeping some of that marble. It's unique, just like you! It's forecasted to go into the 40s here on Tuesday with a wind chill in the 30s. Can you believe it? They are recommending that people just stay home on Tuesday. You know what those temperatures mean??? Falling lizards! LOL!

The concept of having a warning for it anyway. I am sure that it hurts the lizards, and I know that it hurts people. I watched a short documentary on it, and it would be awful. But, still, a warning to stay inside because of falling lizards. Come on, now. I kinda liked that tub on a ledge, and I like the light blocks at the bottom (yeah, I am stuck in the 80s), but I can't see that part as being practical when I could make that wall a double vanity and storage, and put a soaker tub that is more practical in the corner where the makeup table is. I don't see us wearing a lot of makeup at the lake. I have been trying to use Google Lens to find out if that wallpaper is still in stock. I think it could make that room make a statement and bring it from the 80s into today. I haven't been successful yet.

We were talking about it being in the high 70s yesterday, now it is snowing. He used to live in Florida and out of the blue, he said that he heard even Florida was getting cold, so there would be lizards falling. I just cracked up because he had never said anything about that before. It was odd timing after hearing it from you.

I have lazy susan doors, and they frequently have to be adjusted because even after being there for 17 years, they still get stuck sometimes. Also, if something falls off the back when it is going around or falls, it will stop it in its tracks, and I have to remove everything I can get off, get down on the floor with a flashlight, and find what the problem is. I have a grabber that helps get it out. I love them, but at least once or twice a year, I want to tear them out.

Unfortunately, on new ones, sometimes they do not get the walls square, and that has to be resolved. Most of the time, adjustments can be made to the carousel or the door and get it working again.

I am so blessed to have easy access for a way to help people who need help. Thank you, Jesus! 2. Dishwasher - I don't mind washing laundry, but I dislike washing dishes. Weird, right? 3. Murmuration - It seems like the birds are returning to Florida already. We saw a flock yesterday morning while we were out walking. 4. Nature documentaries - I watched a documentary about pigeons on PBS yesterday. Really weird, right? 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I haven't noticed even as many geese this winter flying over, and haven't seen as many unusual guests at the feeders. I wonder if they shifted patterns this fall, and if s,o what causes it? By the way, I meant to tell you that I love the use of murmurations. I have always loved that word.

I had to look it up but I have seen this 2x...a seemingly never-ending swarm of little birds heading off to somewhere. It's amazing to see. Bill and I used to try to use big or uncommon words. We joked that it turned the other one on! Lol

I still have trouble saying his name because of how angry I have been over the way he treated Carin. But, he has not shown any of that kind of behavior and has apologized over and over. He is actually being the person Carin said he was beneath all the prison rage. He is helping her with all kinds 9f things around the house but, the thing I'm most grateful for is how he is interacting with the boys. All her kids are very overweight and have been opposed to any kind of physical activity. He has them outside, helping build a chicken coop, riding the lawn mower. He's teaching Dom to drive (he just got his permit). He's also good with tech stuff and all the boys are into that. Josh just got an early Christmas present, a pretty advanced 3-D printer. He's helping him with that. She has sent me a bunch of pictures and videos of these things. I think it's all real. The boys would tell me. There are drawbacks like the neighbors know he is a convicted child sex offender and won't let their kids interact with the boys. He is having a hard time finding work. He can't be in a y public gathering where kids gather. She feels loved and valued. It's so hard for me to trust him but the evidence is leaning in his favor. We're supposed to believe people can and do change. I mean that's what I've facilitated for 40+ years! I was never worried about him messing with the boys. It was all about his anger and verbally and emotionally abusive behavior toward Carin. So far, so good. Got a lot of pw stuff done yesterday. Have just about the same amount to tackle today. Have not gotten my eating back to a healthy level and have taken 0 walks since I've been home. I remember how great I felt being in the 230s, being able to walk 2.5 miles . Food screams over all of that! Will start anew AGAIN! It's all I can do.

Now you have to 'get used to being home' with food again... in a way. Every day is a new beginning. Keep what you need to be eating available for meals. Have a plan or close to a plan every day, if possible. Love you, sweetie.

I think that our habits at home keep us from walking/exercising more than anything. Pick a time and try to do it every day for a few weeks, even if you have to do an indoor walking video. After a time, it will become a habit that screams at you if you miss it. If you don't have a pedometer or a fitness watch, get one. It doesn't have to be expensive or fancy. Just something that will link to your phone, preferably. Make a game out of increasing your steps by a few a day. It becomes addictive if you have any competitive spirit at all. As far as the food, some of it is habit, but I keep hearing lately that it also has a lot ot do with our gut biome. They say that after just three days of fasting that we can break the cycle of automatically reaching for sugar/high-carb foods. I don't know if that is true, but I do know that when I didn't eat for about two weeks, I was in a coma most of that time, I didn't crave food, and when I started eating, I was not given sweets or much in the way of high carbs. I eventually tried sweets, because I was going through something that my brain kept telling me that it would be easier with sugar, but the usual treats tasted awful. I still thought I had to eat them because of the habit, so I kept at it until I liked the taste again. How stupid is that?
