What I do know is that both my mother and brother have had esophageal thrush as well as having it in the mouth and nose, and I have seen a lot of adults and kids who have been having horrific flares on the internet lately. None of the doctors caught it right off. My mother and brother both had to ask if it could be fungal or candida and request tests. It might be worth your while to get an appointment and ask. If it is either, it is usually easily treated, but it can spread all over the body if not treated. I hope that you can find answers quickly and get things going the right way for you.
