While I was feeling better and still had some steroids shoring me up, I got some of the house put right and some decorations up. I still have quite a bit to go before everyone comes on Sunday, but if I break it into areas each day, I think I can make it.

Someone had spilled something on the oven door while we were sick. It made a mess. I have it soaking in a paste of baking soda, peroxide, and a few drops of Dawn dish soap. I am so grateful to have come across that 'recipe' because it works on grease and burnt-on gunk so well. I should only have to wipe it off and rinse well in a bit. That is what usually happens anyway, and I can already tell that it is working well.

It's laundry day, and the sheets are in the washer now. Anticipating fresh sheets tonight.

I have a nice warm house to stay warm in during this cold, cold snap. Even though heating centers have been opened everywhere, I am sure that there are still people who will refuse to go, and we will hear of people who die in the cold.

After being in the 20s yesterday and all day so far, it is supposed to warm up to 39 before the day is over and in the 60s tomorrow. I am excited about that. I love how we usually don't have to stay cold here very long at a time. I like my tastes of winter short.
