1. What a whirlwind of fun we've had while our son is visiting, and we didn't even go anywhere special! And, he's still here! Every morning we wake up wondering and laughing about what the day will bring. In all honesty, I'm worn out. I've forgotten what it's like having a guest, even if it is our son. I'm going to have to sleep for 3 days when he leaves. LOL! Memories, memories, memories...

2. I cooked apple bourbon pork tenderloin, black-eyed peas, and sauerkraut on New Year's Day, the foods symbolizing success, fortune, luck. Then, I read people in some countries wear red underwear on New Year's for luck, so I did that, too!

3. We had the coldest New Year's Eve in 20 years. We bundled up!

4. I stole Cindyh's idea to weigh in on New Year's Day. Even with all the craziness, I managed to maintain. (118 lbs.) (Cindyh, I'm sorry your surgery was cancelled. I hope you feel better soon so it can be rescheduled!)
