I have learned that I can't go in and clean the way I used to, but I can take it in chunks, and it gets done without intimidating me or creating a mess that takes forever to clean up; one drawer, one shelf, one section of a closet or room. Working on getting all of last year's files organized and ready to put to bed for a few years, and destroying the 2017 files both here and in the office. And on that front, Trucks that come around a few times a year with a huge cross shredder to shred files from banks and offices. They let you stand and watch it being done so that you know it actually got done. It is so much faster and easier. Found a great deal for Great American Pure Flix at $29.00 a year, so I signed up to try it out. I am all for family-type entertainment. I hope I like it. It has been so pretty today and warming a bit. It is nice after the cold rain yesterday. Poppy loves the rain because it just runs off her like a duck, but even she didn't like being out yesterday. You ladies. I am so glad that I found you.

Hannah informed me I couldn’t wash them New Year’s Day! Had to Google that and I’m not usually superstitious BUT with the year I had last year it didn’t hurt me to wait to wash them! Went to see the girls the 1st and Lily came home and spent the night. I woke up to “Nana I have a sore throat”!! Great. Hannah then calls. Emma has 103. She took them to the dr. Strep throat. Girls I can’t win for losing here. Praying I don’t get it. Doxycycline I am on does not cover it. Not much going on this weekend All of you

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 1/3/2026, 11:47 am, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1. What a whirlwind of fun we've had while our son is visiting, and we didn't even go anywhere special! And, he's still here! Every morning we wake up wondering and laughing about what the day will bring. In all honesty, I'm worn out. I've forgotten what it's like having a guest, even if it is our son. I'm going to have to sleep for 3 days when he leaves. LOL! Memories, memories, memories... 2. I cooked apple bourbon pork tenderloin, black-eyed peas, and sauerkraut on New Year's Day, the foods symbolizing success, fortune, luck. Then, I read people in some countries wear red underwear on New Year's for luck, so I did that, too! 3. We had the coldest New Year's Eve in 20 years. We bundled up! 4. I stole Cindyh's idea to weigh in on New Year's Day. Even with all the craziness, I managed to maintain. (118 lbs.) (Cindyh, I'm sorry your surgery was cancelled. I hope you feel better soon so it can be rescheduled!) 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

I never heard of the one where you're not supposed to do laundry, and I did a load of laundry after Church on New Year's Day! I decided to change the meaning to if you do laundry, you are actually washing away all bad luck for the new year. How's that? LOL! Prayers added!

G’day, I was putting aside money for a camera lens and needed a break from saving spreadsheets, so I asked a friend for suggestions. He mentioned the Aviator game, and I gave aviator a try. The first few rounds didn’t go well, but after a slightly bolder move I won enough to cover my losses and more. I realized that players from Nigeria receive special bonuses, which made the session even more rewarding. I’d say it’s worth trying if you want a mix of excitement and strategy in short bursts.
