“Pro’s” that will come out and install things such as lighting for you. And you can bet that if they open the box and the light is broken they won’t charge you to come back out a second time. That would be on HD to pay. Just call them and ask them and let them know what happened with the guy that came out to a broken light and ask them to credit you on this new light. I would be raising a fit about it and they might offer to send someone out to install for free. Doesn’t hurt to ask. The answer is always going to be no if you don’t ask.

As for Bill, there’s a reason you aren’t still married to him. I’m sorry he’s being such a jerk. You need to just accept the fact that this is the way he is and if he wouldn’t change when you were married to him, he’s not going to change as your tenant. Don’t let him ruin your day! His rent money does not give him the right to treat you poorly and if he thinks it does, I’d raise his rent!
