My lilac is so big and in full bloom this morning. My husband let Poppy out during the day yesterday and the day before. I picked up the night shift on both days. It is in a place that I only see it at that door. The last time I noticed it, it was beginning to take on a green tinge, the leaves not even fully opened yet. Today it is glorious. It has never been a big bloomer, so I was sorta shocked.
I didn't really expect our middle grandson to be here tonight. We will be eating about his bedtime since he has to go in so early these days. With the distance, he won't get much sleep tonight, but it sounds like he will be here.
My mother has been treated like a queen this week. Wednesday was her birthday. She has been taken out for lunch every day this week, showered with gifts, has been taken shopping several times, and has lunch and dinner invitations today. I am glad that she has so many people near her that can do what I can't do from here, and I couldn't go because my husband had surgery on her birthday.
My husband is slowly recovering. Last night and this morning he has been acting more like himself.
