While I was expecting some hard and fast guidelines, she doesn't want this to be about rule-following or being rigid with my daily plan. Last night, when we talked, she said the first goal is to ensure I am getting 90-95 grams of protein daily and to spread it out over the day (4-5 times). I tend to have a morning protein shake and nothing but coffee til supper and that's just not healthy or sustainable.
She wants me to eat more often and make that "normal". Since I am not hungry with the surgery, I have to have a new lifestyle.
2L of water daily is what she suggested and that's all to work on 'til we meet again. She said if I stopped losing for 2-3 months, we'd look at calories but I am doing just fine with my weight loss as is.
She said she is there to help, not to judge, and the important thing is to live life - not feel restricted or guilty. She said the Optifast shakes aren't worth the money and to finish them off. She suggested different kinds of protein shakes if I wanted them and said "AI" is a great tool for meal ideas / snack ideas around 25 grams of carbs.
Away I go !
