My mother ordered an enameled Dutch oven, but it was much too heavy for her. Instead of sending it back, she kept it and gave it to me, still in the box. It is a beautiful red, and I am tickled with it. I will cherish it because she gave it to me.

It is such a beautiful day today, and the birds must be enjoying it because they have sounded so pretty all day.

My roses are all blooming but one, and they are gorgeous. They all got frozen when we had two weeks in the single digits. I was sure they were dead this time because they just greened out within the last two weeks. Usually, they are blooming by St. Patrick's Day. The one that isn't in bloom has come out of the ground and is about 2 feet tall now.

Working on an Attitude of Gratitude makes my days go so much better. When I am constantly looking at all the good things, I often completely miss the negative things that could take me down.
