My husband has been complaining about a weird taste in his mouth lately, and many foods taste off to him. His PPI was switched from Omeprazole to Pantoprazole (the generic of Tecta) when he had his stent. They put him on a medication that works better with it than omeprazole. I think you just solved his problem, too, but he is just going to have to grin and bear it.

I hope leaving it off gives you some relief from the weird taste. Isn't there another PPI that can help without the taste?
