Dr feels it was due to her accidentally taking her husband’s diabetes medicine. 2. A quiet day with Ken which included a nap! 3. Adam added HBO Max/Hulu/Disney+ to his streaming platform and got a family plan so we could watch it too! I am currently watching Dr Now’s new series The 6000 lb Diaries with Dr Now. 4. All of my sweet FSF sisters! Love you all! 5. God is good!

Saturday Gratitudes Posted by Delta on 8/2/2025, 4:30 pm, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." My husband has been announcing that we are moving to a smaller house and has spent an hour or so the last two days looking at houses and showing them to me. I had already combed the realtor listings, but they all started running together. Our Grandson, who got transferred to the coast, was going down this weekend to look for a house. The manager of all the locations lives there and suggested a townhouse where his mother lives, and told them that it was a safe area. They checked the safest area map, and it was indeed. Come to find out it is the same company he is renting from now so he gets a deal on breaking the lease and move-in costs. That will help them a lot. There was even one that the tenants are in the process of moving this week, and they are already pre-approved and have paid their deposits. One big thing checked off their list. Their nerves are a lot calmer. Since Grandson didn't take off, two other guys took off this weekend, so our grandson volunteered to pick up extra hours. That will certainly help with all the extra expenses they will have next month. We are getting new flooring. Yesterday, my husband was going over the quote and found that they had made a typo, which made the whole quote add up wrong. He was on the phone for a while but found that he was right. It will save us about $1,500.00 off the quote. I am always grateful to save money. Son and DIL are finally having the siding and flooring in their house changed. They have hated both the whole 10 years that they have lived there, but since they were newly renovated to sell, they haven't wanted to sink money into changing them. They have finally decided to change it and make it reflect them. So far, it is looking so good, and I think they, especially she, will like living there more. They love the area and like the house, but just never liked the outside or floors. I think they will be a lot happier there now.

I hated looking for a house on one hand and loved the excitement on the other but I was 13 years younger!! What kind of flooring are you getting? We will be changing flooring relatively soon. Saw a picture I loved where a friend had changed her flooring and it was beautiful. I asked her what it was and it was 20 mil Luxury Vinyl Plank from Home Depot. Surprised me. So pretty. We can’t do solid wood because it’s a concrete slab. It’s carpeting and tile now

It will start cracking after a time but most people are ready to change before then anyway and this is a rental so we know that no matter what we put in we will have to change when the renters move out. Always no matter what we install. It is so pretty though. Thinking about putting it into the office area of this house when we try to sell it. We have a concrete slab and we have wooden floors in the formal dining area. It does sometimes take a lot of work to get the ready. Can't have any dips or anything. As far as moving it is both exciting and overwhelming. This house has way too much in it I can't really imagine finding a place in a house less than half the size of this one. Also we have to go through the office and shop for anything that we want to keep and find a place for it so we need a shop on the property. We will have to have a big sale no matter what. When we had crews we had at least 5 of everything, sometimes more. Some of it was still new when we decided to hire subs instead of crews. So much stuff.

To me, it's like winning the lottery when I find a mistake like that! I'm so glad your grandson found a place to live. That can be tricky when you're moving long distance, but he did it. I found several tests that Mama never had, and worse yet, they were dated 3 days before she went to the hospital, and one was almost a week after she had been sent to another hospital. They tried to tell me that it was just billed then. I asked them how they knew she was coming. They tried to say that someone had just entered the wrong date, but she never got those tests.

We let them live on one side of this house and share the kitchen and laundry area. This house was plenty big, but I know that they longed for their own home again. When he was offered the job exactly where they wanted to live with better working conditions, they were over the moon but hesitated because they were worried they couldn't find an apartment or house in time, and they know no one there. It was so nice that the big boss called and suggested those townhouses. They did all the research they could online, including going down the street in Google to find their way around and checking out the neighborhood until they were satisfied. Being part of the same system where they are living now clinched it. So happy for them. Of course, I worry a bit, too but this is their dream. Someone asked what if they get there and don't like it. My answer is that they ask for a transfer either back here or somewhere else that they would like to try. His company is all over the US.

You mean the fevers? Posted by Paula on 8/3/2025, 9:56 am, in reply to "Paula??" It's turned out to be mostly a cold. There's no science that I know of behind this but, I seem prone to fevers! I never thought of that but Carin pointed it out a couple fever episodes ago. I thought about it and she's right. I bet I have these 2 day fevers 4-5x year. Often they don't turn into anything. They last a couple days. Infeel sort of weak afterwards but carry on. I've never thought to talk to my PCP about it.

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 8/2/2025, 6:59 am, in reply to "Saturday Gratitude..." 1. Dole and Del Monte fruit cups with zero sugar added. I know it's the lazy way to go, but at 25 calories a cup, it's a quick and easy addition to any meal, as well as a go to snack. 2. Speaking of fruit, the nectarines and peaches have been especially sweet this year. It's like eating candy. 3. I am on a reading streak since getting our new tablets. All the books are free now that I've been able to connect to Libby, the library app. 4. With all the craziness in the world, there are still so many people who are kind and helpful. 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

Even though we try to keep fresh on hand for him, the best laid plans sometimes fall through. I got on a reading jag lately. I read two good books and a mediocre one in one week, then decided to download the Bible in three versions. I am really enjoying doing a study on it. I agree on there being kind people and always love seeing them.
