Update on Murray Posted by Beverly on 8/17/2025, 9:28 pm Murray is making progress. He can stay off the the 02 for patches as time. He needs stay over 88% oxygen saturation. So he can go into the kitchen and do some things without oxygen for up to about an hour before he has to go back on this oxygen to bring it back up. He must be on oxygen at least 85% of a day. He is keeping a spread sheet on his oxygen times, etc to show to the doctor next week. He can't go anywhere except doctor appointments outside of the house. Tomorrow he has the OT coming over to teach his some lung exercises. And PT is coming later to do an evaluation. I am getting a little less tired at the end of the day. although I did lift something too heavy this afternoon and I must 'take it easy'. I have 2 appointments tomorrow... opthamologist and podiastrist. That's where we are. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.

The news about Murray Posted by Delta on 8/19/2025, 5:21 am, in reply to "Update on Murray" sounds more hopeful. If you have an overhead fan or a small fan he can use when he is off oxygen, it can help some (about 30% we were told). It won't keep him off oxygen longer, but it may make him more comfortable while he is off it. I am glad that you are less tired. You need to take care of yourself, too. I hope that your appointments go well.

O2 saturation levels are supposed to be above 97 but, with his lungs, they think 88 is good enough. He must get so winded. When I was in the hospital, if mine dropped below 96, on went the nasal cannula! I'm glad you are keeping track of your own well-being!
