Mine Posted by Paula on 9/12/2025, 8:08 am, in reply to "Friday gratefuls?" I walked 1.2 miles yesterday. It was too much but I just so wanted to be able to accomplish walking a mile. I had to pause to catch my breath more than I'd wanted and used my cane for just a couple bits. Shorter walk today. Got my Covid and flu vaccines yesterday. My joints are inflamed some this morning, especially my elbows. I wanted them done I case I really get to go to Spain. Will probably get the RSV as well but, didn't want 3 vaccines at once. I did multiple things yesterday which has been a goal. I walked, showered, saw a client, met with my nurse, went to the grocery store and went to CVS for my shots. Stamina building! Nurse is not in favor of discharging me. She said she's not accustomed to discharging someone whose wound hasn't closed all the way. She is going to consult with the neurosurgeon and will let me know what he thinks. Ultimately, it's my decision. It's disappointing but I don't want to take any chances. She did say she would finally get home PT if I'm not discharged. Autumn Carin moved into her new, huge house yesterday. She seems happy and says he hasn't shown any controlling behavior. I think she would be honest with me.

Wasn't the surgery supposed to fix things? My heart aches for you Paula - you've been through so much this year

Wow! You really outdid Posted by Delta on 9/12/2025, 11:54 am, in reply to "Mine" yourself yesterday. Good for you! I'm kind of glad that the nurse wants to keep coming. At least she can see any changes when they start instead of getting badly infected again. Home PT might be a good idea now that COVID is circulating again, anyway. You really don't want to be sick with that open wound.

Will get my car serviced while I’m there today. It’s half the price over there. Also replacing tpms sensors which have decided to go bad. Again 800 here. 240 set there. It’s crazy the difference between dealerships Looking forward to catching up with the teenage kids! It’s almost band competition season with AJ. I love marching band. I slept OK last night which I’ll take Has a wonderful chicken bowl last night with chicken breast, seasoned black beans and brown basmati rice w a little sharp cheddar. Yummy. All of you girls. So grateful for your prayers , advice, support, everything

Since ours is out of warranty we wait to take it when we go to my mom's house to visit because we can get it in and out quickly there, while here they send you home and tell you it will be a day or two and it is so much cheaper there. I am glad that you got at least an okay night of sleep. I am sure with your shoulder that they are few and far between. Always loved going to the games when our grandkids were in the band. They also had a Christmas concert every year which was a highlight of my Christmas season. Luckily their band won awards every year while they were in it so it was very enjoyable and no cat screeching involved which we heard during our daughter's school's first year concert.
