Monday Gratitudes Posted by Delta on 10/20/2025, 1:43 pm, in reply to "Monday gratitudes…" Had a talk with my husband yesterday about food and movement. Put a chart of a healthy plate on the fridge to remind him. He tends to go overboard on carbs when he prepares meals. I got together a list of sheet pan and bowl recipes that follow the same premise for fast easy meals to make planning easier. The plan is to make a meal plan on Sundays, order any groceries we need on Mondays. We are also going to start taking walks together and dust off the treadmill to use on bad weather days or go to the mall to walk. It is easier when he is working with me than the swimming uphill feeling that I get when he is not. The glorious weather. Yesterday it only got up to 69° and the rest of the week looks much the same. LOVE it! We planted a fig tree 3 years ago. It only a a few figs here and there for two years. This year it is loaded. Never had my own fig tree to bear although I have planted many of them. Laundry is almost finished and we will have freshly washed sheets to sleep on tonight. How much Poppy has added to our lives.

Update on my daughter Posted by Delta on 10/20/2025, 7:44 pm, in reply to "Monday Gratitudes" She had to do a tilt table test today because she has been passing out. While she was there they decided to implant a loop recorder to be able to tell what her heart is doing as she goes about her day. They wanted to put a monitor on her for a month to six weeks but she has a reaction to the adhesive that is used with that so this was what they decided to do. She is back in the room and feeling fine. They can leave it or take it out at that time. The doctor told her that he can leave it permanently or remove it if she wants after that. It will all depend on whether she passes out again, I guess.

I've never heard of a tilt table test. I hope they get the information they need from the loop recorder! Please keep us informed!

Started with 1000 steps which took me 11 minutes and I will build from there slowly. I can't seem to get my ass out for a walk outside! 3) Paula leaves for her amazing trip tomorrow 4) Ray is working away outside our home as always - mowing lawn, raking leaves, being the energizer bunny he is 5) Dad has his appointment with the surgeon tomorrow and I am praying we have some concrete next steps. Not strong enough for surgery to remove cancer. Are there other options? Can the surgery wait?

My five… Posted by Cindy on 10/20/2025, 11:38 am, in reply to "Monday gratitudes…" 1. The love we have for each other on this board. 2. Off work today as the countertops will be installed this afternoon. Plumber will be over this morning to pull out the faucet on the sink and will come back later to reinstall it once the countertops are in. 3. My chiropractor. I went last Wednesday but still am having pain on my right hip so he got me in first thing this morning for an adjustment. It is feeling better. 4. Fall weather. Love these cooler temps. 5. A job I love that allows me to take off when I need to and work from home if necessary.
