All alone today.
I said I wished I didn’t have a dentist appointment today ( cleaning) well, 30 minutes later my phone rings and they had to reschedule because my hygienist was ill. Didn’t workout great because I need to get it done before shoulder surgery and Dec 31 was the only opening! Ughhhh
John left at 4:30 am. I haven’t shared this yet but he has a family of Half Siblings and they are close with 2 of them ( they are quite a lot Older). One of the girls Passed away last week in Florida and John and his Brother went down for the funeral which is tomorrow Morning. He will be gone until Saturday evening. It’s SO QUIET here! So lonely.
Still doing good in eating.
Don’t like walking with a cane. It DOES help with being steady though. I suppose It will help me not fall again. The DR is probably right.

It takes a while to get used the cane. It's much better than a tumble.

Seeing Sue's name on here today. I am glad she visited us. I miss her here a lot.
Slept well last night for almost 8 hours with only waking for a few minutes twice to cough up all the crud. For days, I have been just sleeping in fits and snatches, then trying to cough up my toenails for about an hour and falling back into exhausted sleep for an hour or three. So nice to sleep like a human again.
A nice warm home on this cold, sleety day.
Both my washer and dryer have been trying to go out. They are both well over 16 years old, I got them when my daughter was pregnant with her youngest, so I guess it is time. Sometimes they work fine, sometimes they stop mid-cycle and have to be monkeyed with before they will continue. It has happened on rare occasions for about 6 months, but it is getting more frequent. I found a set I liked before Thanksgiving that said they were going to be 40% off for Black Friday. I forgot about them, but my husband ordered them for me. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. My husband and daughter's youngest son got the old ones to the curb before he went to his college classes, and I got the floors swept and mopped, ready for the new ones whenever they come.
Pure cocoa butter lip balm. My lips are such a mess from fever and dehydration.
One of my favorite Christmas movies was on late at night. I had forgotten how much I liked it. I had only ever seen it once; it is not usually on the rotation. If you haven't seen it or haven't seen it lately, you need to find November Christmas, with Sam Elliot on a streaming service and watch it. It is not the same old formula that most Christmas movies lately are. A real tear-jerker and feel good movies at the same time.

Tender moments shared with vulnerable clients
Notified Carin that the most of the boys' presents were arriving yesterday. She said they were very excited. I love being a part of their Christmas. Happy/sad that one of Avi's requests was for a book called something like, "Social Skills for Tweens and Teens." These boys can't function in normal society, like school. They all have bad tempers and get made fun of for being overweight. I never in a million years thought that Thomas could be just what they need.
I am going to our work Christmas party tomorrow. I don't want to. I don't know 2/3 of the people there but, these kinds of things are really important to Jenn, the woman who made all of Aspect come to life. I even signed up to be part.of Secret Santa so now I have to show up.
Sun shining in on me. Red hair loves that. LOL

It does tickle me how the red "glows." It's not a vanity thing because I didn't do anything to create it except pay for it! LOL
