The kiddos enjoyed their gifts, Mike and Meg... me too. We went to Meg's parents for a very nice brunch. I didn't eat any milk products. Grateful. Tomorrow the high is 51.. on Monday, the high is 21! Eek. I managed to get the HOA paid for next month on the condo. They have the death notice... but, need the deed to transfer the account to my name. Ridiculous. Oh well. PMKK is being extra cuddlelly... love that. You wonderful ladies.

Since The Christmas Story was on multiple channels on Christmas Day, I watched it then I found another channel was playing a lot of oldies. I watched It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street (I always loved that when I was a kid). The HOA needs to settle down. It takes months to go through probate and to get things into your name. The government and institutions go at their own pace and can't be hurried, no matter how the HOAs "need it now". I am so thrilled at how PMKK is working out for you. I love cuddly animals. Unfortunately, I am very allergic to cats so I can't cuddle (when getting tested, it swelled up when she stuck the lowest strength out of 5, before she even pushed the plunger, so she didn't. She just marked it highly allergic and moved on.) I hope you have everything you need for a cold snap and can stay inside. We are supposed to be 75 tomorrow and barely make it above freezing by the end of Monday. Such crazy weather. We broke a heat record on Christmas eve and tied one for Christmas day this year.

I will be mindful at her house! 3. Seeing the scale move downward when I am on track! 4. Still have 3 more days off work! It’s been a nice holiday! 5. Enjoying my new iPad and iPhone. I was actually able to transfer everything from my old iPad to my new one on my own!

" This is our fourth day in a row that I have been able to open the windows and try to clear the crud we had out of the house. We have whole-house air purifiers and also some room purifiers, but I like fresh air better. Unfortunately, the nice temps are supposed to end tomorrow night and fall below freezing with precipitation. That usually means inches of ice here. I hope we just get snow. Today is my last day for antifungals, and my rash is gone, though it got really bad the day after I started treating it, then just disappeared overnight. My daughter and son-in-law for volunteering to help when they heard our cunnundrum. We got up on Christmas day, and our shower started backing up before my husband finished. Thankfully, I had had a shower the night before. No plumber was working on Christmas day and most said they wouldn't be back until after the new year. My husband went to the office and got a long snake and snaked it. Nothing. Since it was the furthest drain on the house system, it meant it wasn't in the house. He went out to the clean-out outside. He got out about 90 feet before he found anything, but the snake wouldn't go through; got stuck instead. He got the backhoe from the office and started digging up the front yard. Daughter and her husband had heard and came over to help. Although schedule 40 drains are warranted for 50-100 years, it had holes or cracks in it as he went. Instead of going straight to the street for about 40' to connect to the sewer, it went all the way across the yard, over a hundred feet, and joined the sewer under the driveway; both against codes. It had fallen in right before the driveway and was so full of mud that they couldn't get it cleaned out under the drive. We had to call Roto Ruter to come out and clean it out the rest of the way. That set us back over $600 and it only took him less than 10 minutes. I am just thankful that they came back to work yesterday. We also found that the water pipe was laid right beside the sewer line. That is against so many codes because if both pipes shoudl somehow get a break that means that the water can mingle. Ick! How did this house pass inspection? We didn't build the original house here, we inheirted the utilities to the house. Today our son is helping to lay new pipe. They are also laying a new water line according to codes this time. Hopefully by night time I can use my own toilet and shower. The office is less than two miles away for a toilet that works and our daughter let us use her shower for two nights. It has been a very eventufl Christmas and we are grateful that we had our get together early so that we didn't have 15 people here when this happened. This area is bad to have pipes shift because we have a lot of sandy soil on top of clay and we have a lot of small earthquakes. We have had a swarm of earthquakes for the last few weeks so that is probably where the cracks and fallin came from. I am so grateful that we found it before the water line cracked, too and that that will no longer be a problem.

Also, the front yard is almost level again. It has been a process. I am grateful that my husband knows how to do these things and can still do them when we can't get someone and that the kids and grandkids don't care to come help.

" 1) Ray is a cleaning dervish today - gotta love that! 2) not as good as Paula, but the candy is hidden away in the freezer downstairs I got back on track yesterday - 2 days off were long enough for me. (I should not have consulted the scales this morning LOL). Thankful is that I'm on track again 3) got to grocery store - Ray will make me cowboy beans (8-10 servings) tomorrow, I ground up some turkey to have with buttercup squash (3 servings), bought stuff I need for ricotta bake (3 servings) - that's about 2 weeks of meals right there so I'm bound for success 4) will make up some fat bombs with creamed cheese, peanut butter and sweetener. It's my little healthy treat for night time (approx 7 grams of protein) 5) Ray is off work 'til Jan 7 and is doing some kitchen work - crown mouldings, painting, couple of new shelves. He's happy! 4)

That is always the hard part. Your food sounds so good. Well, except for the fat bombs. I have tried and just can't do them. My digestive system always was finicky but after gall bladder surgery it is more so. "sigh" They sound so good. Your kitchen is going to be a show place with all the work Ray does on it.

It is good that you still have two brain cells to rub together so that you can continue your job. Hey, we have four seasons, at least we are supposed to see all four seasons tomorrow. Spring in the morning, summer in mid-day, cooling off to a crisp fall then during the night it is supposed to drop below freezing and have snow or ice. Sometimes it is more like a lottery.
