My doc checkup Posted by Cindyh on 2/14/2026, 1:44 am I got home late this evening. He said. 1 all is going ok 2 no reaching behind my back 3 no lifting more than 2 pounds w left arm 4 can’t raise it above countertop height 5 no toileting no left hand ( this is the hand that’s easiest for me) 6 I return 3/20 7 physical therapy starts in one month. She said it’s a fit w insurance over PT which is absurd They will call me. Oh and mynstitches will dissolve between weeks 4 and 6 post op. She took steri strips Off. it looks better than I thought. Still very painful. Hugs to all of you.

They were throwing so much at me I was writing it all down and forgot to ask. I know until 3/20 at least and I am sure they will see how I am doing then so no need to worry about it

They put me in a very uncomfortable sling. I ended up putting my robe sash around my arm above my elbow and tying it around my waist. I could use my hand, but it kept me from lifting my arm.
