The easiest way to avoid regrets is to ask yourself this question, "If not now, when?" It's a powerful way to put life and our decisions about how we spend our time into perspective"
A neighborhood kid has helped us with yard work a couple of days this week while he is out of school. He is a super kid and a good worker. Our grandson helped on his day off, too, but he only gets two days a week off, and they are not together.
We decided to go out to eat tonight. We went to Jason's Deli for salads. We used to love going there, but it is the first time I have been there since before the pandemic. They have shortened their salad bar somewhat, but it was still. I used to love their mini gingerbread muffins. I had just one tonight, and it was not even as good as I remembered. I didn't even have to fight going back for more.
I had gotten a Snackle Box earlier in the year that I use to keep veggies prepared for snacks. I love it. I love that they don't take up much room in the fridge, but we eat more veggies and less other stuff with them. I got another one today to keep prepared fruit in. They stack, so it is very convenient. I am trying to get my husband to stop buying junk food. He has been buying a lot of junk food lately. He loves fruits and vegetables, so hopefully he will snack on them instead of junk. I kept a veggie tray made up over the weekend, and it kept being emptied, so everyone was enjoying it. People won't eat them if they are in the crisper in self-seal bags, but if they are together in a tray, they grab them frequently.
My husband is scheduled for his heart cath/possible stent on Wednesday. He has to be there at 9:30, but I don't think the surgery will be until noon or after. They say that they have the insurance approval this time, but they said that before, up until quitting time the day before.
Sleeping better the last few nights. I had been waking up several times a night with my left hip hurting and having a hard time finding a comfortable position and going back to sleep. So glad that it seems better.
Encouraging visit with the orthatist. I'll get a new orthotic for my left foot in a month. She adjusted my brace. I am hoping for a better gate. She told me more about my feet and ankles than 40 years of talking to poliastrists.
I used Lyft for going to and from appointments this week. I worked out well. Grateful to have access to getting around more independently,in a fashion.
finallly pooped... I know.... too much info. But true.
I moved something way too heavy... some of my muscles are screaming. My sister suggested sperecreme roll on.
You wonderful ladies......
Sounds like a good visit!

I hope that the changes help you. When you said brace, it took me back to college. I had a friend named Beverly who had a brace on one foot. You have similar personalities, too. She was the absolutely dearest person, and you are, too.
Good for you being all independent. Have you given up on driving? I know you used to drive back and forth between Ohio and Michigan. I have practically given it up, and I hate how dependent it makes me.
I hope your muscles feel better soon. I find that Stop Pain works pretty well. I usually find it at Walmart or Amazon.
I don't drive much, really. I stay in my area Not going far. Not in the dark... not in bad weather or not when my 'pieces and parts' are screaming. LOL. Delta... I totally understand your frustration with not driving, yes.
I will check out stop pain , thanks.
It's a roll on in the pain aisle--NT
