Sunday Grats Posted by Delta on 3/29/2026, 6:48 pm, in reply to "Sunday grats..." Came home to all my spring-blooming clematis blooming for the first time since they were planted over 15 years ago. They are all loaded. The irises are in bloom, too. It is beautiful. My daughter finally got an appointment to see an internal medicine doctor about her incident of passing out over two weeks ago. The EMTs called her doctor and cardiologist, but neither has had any luck getting her an appointment with a neurologist yet. Her head is still very sore where she hit it, and she is still having trouble with her tongue and lip being numb. A good conversation with our oldest grandson yesterday. We were just pulling out of the driveway, and he was in the middle of a several-hour journey to a job. Both trucks picked up over the radio, so it was like we were all in the same vehicle. We had a good conversation for about an hour and thirty minutes. Made the time pass much faster. They have decided that they no longer want the nomadic life that his job is. He was running some thoughts by us to make sure that he is not being too impetuous and jumping from the frying pan into the fire. grateful that he is thinking, planning and setting real goals and not just dreaming. The second grandson was able to buy a new truck and pay cash for most of it. That boy is a natural at budgeting and hates being in debt. I hope he stays that way. The lake house is coming along, and we are more and more ready to sell our house and move there. I can't wait to get it the way we want it. We just really love the area. The whole family wants to move there now that they have spent time there. LOL

It was always our plan Posted by Delta on 3/30/2026, 3:49 pm, in reply to "The lake" to find a smaller house and sell our house. It wasn't our plan to find a lake house 2 hours away, but we loved everything about that house when we found it, except all the work it would need. We are getting too old for this. It is taking forever to do what we used to do in 2 weeks or a bit more. I didn't really plan for a new house to be as big as that one is, but with family having to visit, we need it. I wanted something like our old lake house, near enough that people could visit, but they are all scattering like dandelion fuzz in the wind. The biggest holdup right now is my husband's and my daughter's health. Either one of them might change everything. For this minute I am going ahead and clearing out things. I have to get rid of sooooo much. It's daunting.

Lew is having some trouble with peeing and pooping in the house. Bill sees and smells nothing. Could just as easily step in it and track it all over the house than notice it. C'est la vie. Nothing I can do about it. Going to have dinner with Ellianna's parents.and sister tomorrow. Faith is touring University of Richmond on Tuesday. Carin sounds like she is waffling but insists she isn't. Nothing I can do about that either. 6 days on track. At least I'll be in the 240s when I leave. I took a bunch of stuff to Goodwill yesterday. Love getting rid of stuff.

Five for me... Posted by Joan on 3/29/2026, 10:53 am, in reply to "Sunday grats..." 1. Sunday - It's Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week 2. Delta's husband is scheduled for his heart procedure on Wednesday. Finally! And, may I add congratulations to Delta for her non-scale victories! 3. I would also like to congratulate Krista on losing 50 pounds! Way to go! 4. We heard from our tax consultant that we'll be receiving the biggest refund we've seen in years - $4400! 5. FSF family and friends! I pray for all of you, your families, your friends in my daily prayers... and thank you for praying for me! Maintenance is a forever endeavor!

The nurse said that this procedure would be more dangerous than the open heart surgery he had because it is a graft and it would tear more easily than the original artery.
