Catching up a bit Posted by Krista on 4/27/2026, 9:25 am Dad has pre-op tests on May 5 but no surgery booked yet. Dr said by end of May for sure. He is still in significant pain in his hip (crack there that the doc says will heal on it's own) and his left foot. Gabapentin has not helped with the foot pain but they say there is no blockage. I'm suggesting they try the pain doctor that I went to as we just don't know what else to do at this point. Not much new with me. Busy with auction and radio station and their website. Still working over 40 hours a week. Weight loss really isn't moving much. We have support now from a company called "Weight Simple" so I have a ZOOM call with a dietician on Thursday night and with a behavioural specialist on Saturday morning. If I am honest, I haven't given this my all with respect to any parts - food, exercise or water. Still, I am down 50 lbs and hope to lose another 50 by the year mark. Ray is awesome and always. So good to me and my family. His blood sugars were up last week so the doc prescribed him a new med and he's cutting back on sugar. Doc and he feel that was causing aches and pains in his body so we're hoping that will ease things. Just wanted to catch up - Cooper's good, I'm back to church for past 3 weeks and spring is here. I'm looking forward to pool weather and doing some radio work remotely from home.
