Would still love to hear where you've been, where you'd like to go. Cindy,that's a lot! Was your first husband military? Delta....OMG! That history is dreadful and sad! Think I get why you don't want to plan again!!

" He went to California to look for work and decided he liked it there and wanted me, his pregnant wife, to sell everything I owned and move out there with him so we could live in an abandoned trailer he found on the beach. His idea of working was bartering for the things he wanted. He once built a fence for a dentist so they would pull a tooth for him! Needless to say I was not doing that and filed for divorce when he refused to move back to Kansas. I went to Europe in the summer of 1974 to sing with the Mid Kansas choir. The trip (3 weeks) cost $900 with a side trip to Rome for an extra $90 so I added the Rome trip in as well! My best friend Kim and I went along with about 5 other high school students from our town and a bunch of other high school students from across the state. It was a great time! The states that I visited was always on vacations. As far as my favorite place-Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home!

He was a bass player… Posted by Cindy on 5/1/2026, 8:10 pm, in reply to "I bet that was a blast!!" And a bit of a bum. Could go through life never having a regular job. I couldn’t live like that. He never wanted anything to do with Adam and never saw him. He was still in California when I had Adam. After I tried to get child support (it was actually the state as I had a medical card for Adam) he decided to say he wanted Adam 6 months out of the year so he wouldn’t have to pay child support. I got a lawyer and shut that down immediately. Charlie died several years ago. I have no idea how it happened. I just happened to hear about a brother of his dying and when I looked at the brothers obituary it said he was proceeded in death by both parents and one brother, Charles. Adam was 7 when Ken came into our lives. Ken is the only dad Adam has ever had.
