She said that she had some medical news she wanted to share with me, and my heart sank. She had breast cancer in 2013. They did surgery and said that they got it all. Five years later, she was deemed cancer-free. Two years ago, she started having trouble breathing and went to the doctor. He sent her for an MRI, and they sent her for a PET scan. Her daughter said her whole body looked like a dalmation. She had spots of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer everywhere; lungs, back of heart, bones, muscles, liver, everywhere. They didn't give her much hope, but agreed to do treatments. She has been getting treatments of one kind or another since. Last week, she had to go for a PET scan and blood tests. Her doctor told her today that not one spot lit up on the scan, not even a tiny one. Her blood contained no trace of cancer cells. All her cancer suddenly died in the last three months. She still has scar tissue in her lungs and behind her heart, but she is cancer-free again. Even the doctor said that a miracle had been at work because the type of cancer she had didn't work like that. Praise God!

Mike and kids helped last spring... eek. Gardening gene skipped a generation, for sure. It was exasperating for me telling them every move and weed, etc. Today I start pt for hip and shooting pain. I put on my goals... able to turn on water spigot for watering the plants. Roofer came yesterday and I think it may only cost around $600. At our condo, it's up to the owner to take responsibility for the 3 season room. Covered the jack in the pulpit with Meghan's help. They usually come up in early June . Because of the rain...they came up in April. They are tender and my favorite wild flower. We are having lots of frost warning. ugh. PMKK You wonderful ladies. Love you so much.

I think my current ones are about 3 years old. The hearing, especially in my right ear, has deteriorated so much. They were originally set at a level 8. Now I have to have the right one set to 15 to hear my clients. Appointment with optomologist Monday to measure fir cataract surgery. I know I told you that already but I am so happy to be getting this going! I know the audiologist and optomologistbare going to try to up-sell me but, right now, I really don't have the money for upgrades. Paying the piper for barely being able to work 5 months last year and my trip!! Going to Barb's funeral tomorrow. So sad for her and her family. I am glad that I am home and able.to pay my respects. I want to wear something colorful because that reflects her spirit...not crazy but, just not all black. Carin and Thomas are in counseling. The boys attend some sessions. She said nothing is improving because he won't own any of his own behaviors. I know she's had such great hope for this to work and is very sad. Going to PT this morning. I am going to stop after today. I know what I need to do.

After he got new ones 3 years ago, he has complained about them not working as well constantly, and now rarely even tries to wear them. He claims they were a waste of money. It's when they first went to Bluetooth. Hopefully, they have the kinks out now, and you find that your hearing hasn't deteriorated as much as you thought or at least they work better for you.
