pens in movies
Admit it. Even if you do not care about authenticity of pens in movies when your see a total "guffaw" it makes you laugh because you know better than some guy that has a multi-million dollar budget trying to tell a story. I love the old movies from the 30's and 40's, always showing absolutely correct time period pens. I remember the recent movie "IKE" about Eisenhower planning D-Day. Every fountain pen in the movie was a Parker 51. I actually saw a c17th century movie, Elizabethian period, and "sumgai" is writing with a quill pen that has a BALLPOINT tip!! I see stuff like this all the time. It's really funny. A friend of mine and I sometimes go to certain movies and he is so good he can pick the most minute detail and tell me it is totally wrong. and why. So....yes, I care and I think so do you even if you think not. Always good for a good laugh.
