I'm afraid the pen world has moved on from this community. There are no newcomers, as there isn't really any reason for it. The last vestiges of people - older, vintage hunters - who would look for pens on the Green Board have stopped buying or found more active venues for pen sales. There is no real discussion on the Yellow Board, and it pains me when I would occasionally post to see if I could light a fire.
I've been through this in other small communities, the attrition of active members and a small group who click on the link and maybe read and then go away. Internet forums hava a lifespan. Even vaunted FPN is now dwarfed by the numbers of young people using the Reddit fountainpen forum. Times change.
The one saving grace is that this place never seems to have a problem with spam. If you want to see the death of a forum by spam and evacuation, look for the Fountain Pen Geeks forums. 99% of all posts are simply spam and bots, like weeds in the sidewalks of an abandoned factory.
Our pens, though, still keep writing! In closing, I hope any that read this have a good end to this year, with festivities, and that your new year begins with promise.
Regards,
Jon
