Thank you. I recall the bracelet in the wedding photos of Princess Juliana.
Not specifically from the peoples of the Netherlands Antilles as far as I know. Its fair to say that not until Queen Juliana have we witnessed a genuine warm interest of the royal family in the Netherlands Antilles and Surinam. Previous monarchs were more interested in the Dutch East Indies, which were far more expansive and brought (relatively and nominally) more riches to our shores than the West Indies. True appreciation for the West Indies only started with Juliana. As far as we know Queen Wilhelmina and Queen Juliana only received a few jewels from the East Indies: Wilhelmina received a diamond set Gold crown from a ruler (Sultan) on Borneo (Kutai) and Juliana received a huge diamond set bracelet from the inhabitants of the East Indies. Queen Wilhelmina received as a 'national' gift an extraordinary diamond and sapphire parure for her wedding in 1901 but I am not sure the inhabitants of the then colonies also contributed.
Did the Dutch Royals ever receive any jewels from the former Netherlands Antilles?
