I too was shocked when I saw it. Now I have said it.
Our memories of the beloved Queen Elizabeth II are still very strong.
That tiara is the item of jewellery most closely associated with her, in life, in portraits, on stamps and on coins still in circulation.
The speed with which iconic symbols of the reign of a queen regnant are being dismissed is distressing.
Not even her crimson robe worn at her coronation and followed by countless state openings of parliament has been spared.
So much for recognition of the longest reign in British history , man or woman.

I’m shocked I thought this piece would have gone in semi retirement for now as It was so closely associated with the Late Queen I thought next time I’d see it would be on Catherine
