I get her wearing the Bernadotte rubies even though i had hoped for the Swedish Pearls.
Im not a fan of the alterations made to the ruby set. Yes Queen Ingrid had it altered but i would have preferred a new base fitted to Mary's head instead of this grand reworking of the set. Yet all was done with the clear support of Queen Margrethe so i assume Queen Ingrid would also agree.

It's a shame she did not wear the full necklace, but as we have seen other queens of her generation don't wear big necklaces either.
