I don't believe there has been any evidence to prove that 'Queen Elizabeth's Double Meander Tiara' was or was not part of the Greville bequest, as the full list of the over 60 pieces has never been published.

All that is known about this piece is that it was owned by Queen Elizabeth, and was loaned by her to the Goldsmith Hall 'Modern Jewellery' exhibition in 1961.

No other information is known, or has ever been released about this piece, it's provenance and origins are completely unknown; as far as I am aware.

: I agree with the two tier idea but was this
: mystery tiara assumed to be part of the
: Greville bequest? Is so, 1937 would be too
: early for this appearance on the Countess of
    : Strathmore.
: I am also thinking if it was not part of the
: Greville bequest, was it given to Queen
: Elizabeth Queen Mother to match her wedding
: gift necklace that we now know was
: dismantled to make th Papyrus Tiara?

: Ayvee - I think you might be on to something

: I've never seen this picture before. Thanks
    : for posting, Nellie!

: Something about the size and shape of this
: tiara reminds me of Princess Anne's mystery
: tiara. It doesn't remind me at all of the
: scroll tiara/halo tiara that Catherine
: Middleton wore for her wedding. I wish we
: there were other photos of the Countess
    : wearing this tiara.
