Re: Princess Chantal d'Orléans' Danish Opal Choker Archived Message

Thanks for the clarification about the way this Danish choker could find its way into the Orléans/Sambucy de Sorgues' jewel casket.

Princess Chantal has worn this choker several times:

I do not know if this picture was taken at Axel or Kildine de Sambucy de Sorgues' christening:

Here is the choker worn by Princess Marie of Orléans, wife of Prince Valdemar of Denmark (the other lady on the first picture is Princess Marie's first cousin and sister-in-law, Isabelle of Orléans, Duchess of Guise):

And as a bonus, here is a close-up picture of the choker, worn by Kildine Stevenson at the Duke and Duchess of Vendôme's wedding in 2009 in Senlis.

: As they are 2 Counts Valdemar of Rosenborg
: from different Generations, Glenn may be
: right . Thanks for correcting.
: But one of them is Kildine's Godfather and
: I suppose gave her the necklace she wore at
: the Duke of Vendome's wedding.
: I don't know if Princess Chantal wore this
    : necklace before ???

    : I did a mistake , He is Kildine's Godfather.
    :
: To me it is like this
: Prince Valdemar and Princess Marie
: Prince/Count Erik and Countess Frances Booth
: Count Christian and Countess Karin Lüttichau
: Count Valdemar (1965) and french Countess
    : Charlotte Cruise.

: Perhaps this will clarify it a bit:
    :
: Prince Valdemar and Princess Marie -->
: Prince/Count Aage and Countess Matilda
: --> Count Valdemar and Countess Floria.
    :
: Count Valdemar and Countess Floria had no
: children and lived in France and were close
: to Count Valdemar's French family. This is
: apparently how the necklace ended up with
    : the Orléans family.
