Beth1, on the two pictures you have posted a link, I think the brooch is this one:
According to Leslie Field, "this Cartier leaf-shaped brooch, framed in diamond baguettes, has a pavé-set diamond vein down the centre, and is set with irregularly shaped Indian-cut Ceylonese cabochon sapphires, and small round emeralds, amethysts and a ruby. The Duke of York [i.e. the future King George VI] bought it for his wife in 1928". Queen Elizabeth has worn it several times in the 1940ies/early 1950ies, and very rarely later.
