    I had a look in my copy of 'jewels of the romanovs' by Pappi and this emerald is discussed but no separate image of it is shown. However, the colour photo you see of the jewel is shown in 'costume ball in the winter palace 1903'. This stone is still in the Diamond Fund of Russia in the Kremlin in Moscow.

    Empress Alexandra's dress for the ball. According to my book on the ball the jewels on this dress were glass and not the real thing. The overall costume was a mixture of real and fake like many a costume ball dress in the 19th century.
