The Duke only sold the tiara of the sapphire parure and changed some of the clusters of the necklace into a new smaller tiara. The diamond bandeau the Duchess wore for their wedding had already been altered into the spike pearl and diamond tiara by that time. He may have sold a few smaller pieces as well but there was not that much to go around. The Duke inherited two sets: the sapphire parure and the diamond bandeau with a diamond necklace, chandelier earrings and brooches. His brother inherited the larger diamond and pearl tiara of Marina and the diamond fringe tiara and necklace. Their sister got the diamond flowers that were set in a tiara that can be altered. The central stones can go from pearls to sapphires or turquoises and she has other jewels for three versions. The diamond and pearl snake necklace/tiara and earrings from their grandmother Helena was sold to pay the death duties after Marina died.

Most jewels of Marina Duchess of Kent : went to her two sons, while Princess : Alexandra got practically nothing, I Always : understood.
